Strawberry pancake balls topped with vanilla glaze and sweet honey vanilla sprinkle

Another easy recipe I decided to make with my cake pop maker.

Pancake mix
Strawberries cut into small pieces
Vanilla glaze (recipe to follow soon)
Pampered chefs sweet honey vanilla sprinkle

Combine strawberries and pancake mix. Bake in cake pop maker for 4 minutes. Top with vanilla glaze and sprinkle. Voila! You're finished!

Chocolate covered nutella filled red velvet cake pops

I finally broke down and got a baby cakes cake pop maker! I tried to talk myself out of it, thinking I don't make cake pops that often. Once I got it, I couldn't stop thinking of all the possibilities this thing would make! Yes, I'm addicted! Not only is this something that's quick and easy (well some recipes...some take more time) but its something you can do with your kids! My son loved helping me mix the ingredients!

Red velvet cake balls:
Boxed red velvet cake mix and all ingredients needed to make it
Nutella
1 container Chocolate icing
I bag chocolate chips

Follow directions of cake mix and combine the ingredients. Put in cake pop maker for 4 minutes. Using the injector, inject nutella into center of cake ball. Depending on your taste, you can use a little or a lot. Freeze until cool. Melt chocolate chips and combine with icing. Dip cake ball into the chocolate mixture and set on wax paper. I put mine in the refrigerator to cool.

Finger painting fun

Today we decided to go outside and get messy with paint. Finger paints and an art canvas is all you need. He had so much fun. I can't wait to get a few more canvases. This would be a great activity for a few kids to do, maybe even a Bday party!

PlayDough

PlayDough....kids friend and parents enemy when it comes to being a mess! In our house, it's ok to be messy, it's ok to get play dough all over the kitchen table! A mess can always be cleaned up, but the memories are what's really worth it!

PlayDough can be fun and educational. Today we used cookie cutters to work on letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and cutting using scissors and a play dough pizza cutter. We played for an hour and a half and the only reason I made him stop was because his therapist was here! If it weren't for her who know how much longer he would have played!

Life is short, make messes, and make lots of memories. Education for toddlers is best when they are having fun while learning. Who knew there would be so much to learn with just two things, play dough and cookie cutters!

Corn - who knew?

Who knew you could cook corn in the microwave or oven IN the husks? When they are finished cooking, just peel back the husks and tear off the core. All the silk comes off with it! So much easier than trying to get all of those tiny silks out and then cooking the corn! I give up that tedious chore from now on!
Microwave - 4 minutes for each cob, you can cook more than one at a time
Oven- 20-30 minutes in a 350 degree oven

Fathers Day Candy Card

As you all know, yesterday was Father's Day. I wanted to share a fun and yummy craft card you can make for the special man in your life with your kids. I had to go on a search for these candy bars. The only one I could not find was a now and later! It took up so much room I had to use two poster boards. It was fun coming up with different ways to use the words in the candy bars. I did get some ideas from pinterest that I used :)
